Note: When a SatSeconds setting other than OFF is selected, the green
LED at the top of the SatSeconds indicator will light. The green

With traditional alarm management, upper and lower alarm limits are set
for monitoring oxygen saturation. During monitoring, as soon as an alarm
limit is violated by as little as one percentage point, an audible alarm
immediately sounds. When the %SpO

alarms can be distracting.
The N-560 utilizes Nellcor SatSeconds alarm management. With the
SatSeconds technique, upper and lower alarm limits are set in the same
way as traditional alarm management. However, the clinician also sets a
SatSeconds limit that allows monitoring of %SpO
lower alarm limit and above the selected upper alarm limit for a period of
time before an audible alarm sounds.
The SatSeconds limit controls the time that the %SpO
below the alarm limit before an audible alarm sounds.
