8. Usage Precautions

MASM-1 does not have an SSL function. If the SSL function of the MAS-A100 is

enabled, MASM-1 can only perform MAS-A100 discovery and IP address setting.
Other operations are not available.
In some MAS-A100 installation environments and audio systems, the level of

speech reinforcement and audio quality may not be sufficient.
Noise may not be reduced sufficiently in some MAS-A100 installation

environments.
Network security
SONY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM A

FAILURE TO IMPLEMENT PROPER SECURITY MEASURES ON TRANSMISSION
DEVICES, UNAVOIDABLE DATA LEAKS RESULTING FROM TRANSMISSION
SPECIFICATIONS, OR SECURITY PROBLEMS OF ANY KIND.
Depending on the operating environment, unauthorized third parties on the

network may be able to access the unit. When connecting the unit to the network,
be sure to confirm that the network is protected securely.
MASM-1 does not have an SSL function. Communications between MASM-1 and

MAS-A100 units is unencrypted. Use only on a secure network.
