Appendix B. External Control

B.1. Setting external control
The MAS-A100 has an API that enables it to be controlled from an external system,
such as AMX, Crestron, or Extron.
The API is disabled by factory default.
To enable the API, set [API control] to [Enable] on the [System] page of the [Settings]
tab of MASM-1.
When the API is enabled, a network port of the MAS-A100 is opened, and the unit is
accessible from external sources via that port, which is a potential security risk. Make
sure that the API is enabled only when connected to a secure network.
