4. Adjust the accelerator link to properly fit
between the magneto control lever 1 and
magneto control lever 3 as shown (distance
"A").
5. Install the bracket onto the bottom cowling.
6. Screw the cable joint to the end of the throt-
tle remote control cable a minimum of 8mm
(0.31in). Do the same with the cable joint for
the shift cable.
N O T E : If there is insufficient freeplay in the
cable to screw it in 8mm, decrease the amount the
cable is screwed in on the remote control box
side. Be sure to tighten the locknut for each cable
joint.
WARNING
I f the cable is not screwed in at least 8mm, the
cable joint could break. T his could cause loss of
control and an accident.

7. Fit the remote control cables to the bracket
and secure them with the cable clamp.
8. Install the throttle cable joint and the shift
cable joint to the magneto control lever 1 and
shift handle respectively, as shown.
9. Verify proper action of the levers and the
remote control box. Be sure the cables are not
pinched or strained as the motor is moved
from side to side or when being placed in the
tilt position.
