N O T E : Fit the extension wire harness coupler
into the zip tie, then zip tie the wire leads as
shown.
Steering Friction (63D-42508-00-00)
1. Remove the cap 1.
2. Install the nut 2.
T orque: N ut - 2 0N m ( 2 .0m-kg, 14ft-lb)
F40 4-Cyl., F/T50 Tiller Handle Kit
3. Install the following:
1 Collar
2 Friction plate
4. Install the bolt (M6) 1.
5. Adjust the friction force.
a. Turn the friction lever 1 fully to the left

b. Turn the nut 2 in or out to adjust the
steering friction force to the user's prefer-
ence according to the following:6-29
c. Turn the friction lever fully to the right

, and check that the tiller becomes free
of friction.
d. If not, repeat the above steps.
