Lower Trim (Optional)

The optional lower trim is shipped pre-attached to the bottom of the screen assembly on the fireplace. It
covers the area near the base of the fireplace. The installer may leave the trim in place or remove it to
best suit the installation. When it is installed, the installer will not need to install facing (or hearth) in the
area below the screen assembly (see illustrations below).

Removing the lower trim

1. Remove the screen assembly from the fireplace and place it face down on a non-scratching surface
(e.g. cardboard).
2. Remove the (3) nuts holding each door hinge in place (both sides – see photo below to the left).
NOTE: Do not move or lift the face during installation – the door hinge may come loose and bind.

3. Remove and discard the lower trim (see photo above to the right). Replace the (3) nuts (both
sides) to secure the hinge. Replace the screen assembly on the fireplace.
