Surround Panel Installation

Position the heater, attach the
gas line, and hook up the gas
vent prior to installing the
surround panels
+ The surround panels come in the
sizes listed below

1 Install the side surround panels
following the instructions to the
right.
2 Position the heater so the surround
panels are 3/8" from the face of the
fireplace.
3 Follow the
instructions to the
right for
installing the top
panel and trim.
WARNING:
Discard the
insulation that
comes with the
surround panels
(for wood stoves
only). The
panels must not
form an air-tight
seal against the
fireplace.

Install the top panel so the two joggle clips slide over the tab on top of the side panels..

Place two U-Nuts (included
with the insert) over the
inside flange on both side
panels (flat side in).

The flat side
faces inwards.

Attach the side panels to the side panel
attachment brackets with the screws
included with the insert. Before
tightening the screws, make sure the
bracket is positioned all the way up and
forward against the side panel.

Top Trim
"L" Brackets
Panel Trim Construction:
Insert one leg of each "L" bracket into the top and side trim piece.
Align the trim to form a precise corner, then tighten the two set
screws with a small standard screwdriver. Slide the trim over the
panels. Attach a piece of included double-back tape to the bottom
of each side trim to keep it from flaring at the bottom.

Remove the panel

on both sides. Lay
the top panel

on top of the insert.

Position the side attachment bracket, with side panel attached, onto
the insert. Make sure the tab on the insert inserts into the rear notch
on the side attachment bracket. Repeat this step for the opposite
side. Attach the top panel attachment bracket with the four screws
removed in step ÒbÓ.
