5. Install the LP pilot orifice following the instructions below.
(a) Use a 7/16" open-end wrench to remove the pilot hood.
(b) Remove and discard the Natural Gas (NG) orifice. Place the LP orifice in the pilot assembly then replace
the pilot hood, tightening the pilot hood until it is snug (do not over-tighten).
GSR2
6. Remove the regulator from the front of the gas control valve. There is a knob extension on the regulator
knob that will need to be moved to the new regulator. To remove the extension pull toward you. Replace
with the propane regulator, using the new gasket and screws included with the regulator. Re-install the
knob extension onto the LP regulator knob. The knob extension is directional so you may need to turn it
until it lines up properly with the regulator knob and can be pushed into place.
NOTE: Leak test this area after the heater is installed, gas is connected, and the main burner is lit.
GSR2
The stepper motor (adjustable regulator) has an installation
sheet included with it – make sure to follow all of the
directions. Place the stepper motor on the gas control valve
(see below) – MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECTLY
ORIENTED. Secure using the screws included with the
motor – tighten to 25 Lb-inches. Leak test this area after
installation to verify proper installation.
7.
Make the gas line connection, bleed the gas line (if applicable), start the heater, and thoroughly leak-test all gas
connections and the gas control valve.
