Purging Calibration Gas Lines

To purge the calibration gas lines, as preparation for first calibration, follow these steps:
(1)
Ensure that the carrier gas lines have been fully purged, as described in the previous section.
(2)
Close the calibration gas bottle valve.
(3)
Fully open the block valve associated with calibration gas feed (the block valve should be
located on the SCS plate of the Analyzer).
(4)
Fully open the metering valve (on the Flow Panel, below the rotameter).
(5)
Access the upper enclosure of the Analyzer (see Figure 3-42) to access the Valve Driver
Board (see Figure 3-44).
(6)
On the Valve Driver Board, upper enclosure, set the Stream switch "S2" to MAN (if Stream
2 will be used for calibration gas).
(7)
Open the calibration gas bottle valve.
(8)
At the calibration gas bottle regulator, increase outlet pressure to 20 psig, ±5%.
(9)
Close the calibration gas bottle valve.
(10)
Let both gauges on the calibration gas bottle valve bleed down to 0 (zero) psig.
(11)
Repeat steps (7) through (10) five times.

Open the calibration gas bottle valve.
