Preventing Paper Jams (Cassette 1 to 4)

If a paper jams occur in the paper feeder, or paper jams occur when using a particular type of paper, adjust the speed of
paper feed from the main unit cassettes.
NOTE
This adjustment is only effective for Cassettes 1 to 4.

Preventing Paper Jams (Cassette 5 to 8)

Adjust if double feeding or non-feeding occurs when feeding paper from an optional paper feeder (Cassettes 5 to 8).

Display the screen.
[System Menu/Counter] key > [Device Settings] > [Paper Feeding] > "Cassette Settings"
[Cassette 1 (to 4) Settings] > [Manual] > [Main Unit Paper Feed Speed]
Configure the settings.
Select [Normal] or [Low]. If paper jams frequently occur, select [Low].
Display the screen.
[System Menu/Counter] key > [Device Settings] > [Paper Feeding] > "Cassette Settings"
[Cassette 5 (to 8) Settings] > [Manual] > [Paper Feeder Action]
Configure the settings.
The setting items are shown in the table below.
