Correcting Paper Skew

To feed paper correctly, the amount of play of the paper (amount of resistance play) in the main unit resistance roller

must be adjusted. Adjust this setting if the leading edge of the paper folds (skewed feeding) or creases appear.

• The amount of play of paper registered in the Master Paper Catalog cannot be adjusted. You can adjust an

amount of play of paper by registering the Paper Entry on the Fiery Controller and configuring the paper

characteristics parameters registered in the master Paper Catalog.

• If the amount of resistance play is too small, the paper will skew. If the amount of resistance play is too

large, creases will appear in the output.

To adjust skewed feeding, load A4-R size or larger paper in the paper cassette.

Display the screen.

[System Menu/Counter] key > [Device Settings] > [Paper Feeding] > "Cassette Settings"

[Cassette 1 (to 8) Settings] > [Paper Catalog]

Select the paper brand > [

Items" [Print Chart/Help] > "Print Chart" [Print]

A test chart is printed.
