IMPORTANT
• Remove the paper from its packaging and load immediately before use.
• After removing new paper from its packaging, fan the paper before loading it in the
cassette.
Precautions on Paper (page 7-8)
• Load the paper with the print side facing up.
• Align the edges of the paper before loading it.
• To evenly align the widths and lengths of the paper, load only the top 5 to 10 mm of
the stack. After adjusting the paper width in the following step, add the paper
required for printing.
• Load the paper so that both ends rest on the auxiliary plate of the paper width
guide.
• The stack must not be higher than the limit mark.
• When adding paper that has not been registered in Paper Catalog, remove the top
and bottom sheets after opening the packaging to prevent double-feeding.
NOTE
• When loading paper that is 204 mm (8.04 inches) or narrower, remove the supporting
plates from the bottom of the paper tray and store them in the pocket located on the right
side of the source tray.
• Use the paper size indicators on the bottom of the paper tray to adjust the paper width
guides the space provided by the paper width guides is somewhat wider than the paper
size. Load paper so that both sides are on the auxiliary paper width guides.
Take the grip of the paper width guides with your fingers, and
adjust the paper width guides to the paper size.
Load the paper so that it is not warped or lifted by the edge.
