Process images
Definition of process image
The process image is a component of the system memory of the DP master/IO controller.
At the start of the cyclic program, the signal states of the inputs are transferred to the
process image for the inputs. At the end of the cyclic program, the process output image is
transferred to the motor starter as a signal state.
