Plugging rules for memory in the 8335-GTB system

Learn the memory placement rules for the IBM Power System S822LC (8335-GTB) system.
The 8335-GTB has memory configurations of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1024 GB. All eight memory
risers are installed and each must have four DIMMs. The system has a total of 32 DIMMs. All DIMMs
must be the same memory size and must not be mixed. The supported DIMM sizes are either 4 GB, 8
GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB. Mixing of memory feature codes or DIMM sizes is not allowed.
Table 1 lists the supported memory feature codes and Table 2 on page 79 shows the allowed memory
capacity points.
