Checking the Core ID switches
Each NT4N40 Core/Net card cage or module (see Figure 5 on
identified as "Core 0" or "Core 1". This setting is made by a set of option
switches on the System Utility card (see Figure 6 on
switches are set in the factory. Confirm that these settings match the
identification labels for the module into which they will be installed.
CAUTION — Service Interruption
The CP Core/Net card cages MUST be installed in the
correct Core 0 or Core 1 module.

Pull the System Utility card (NT4N48) far enough out of its slot so you can
see the ID switch settings.

Check and confirm the switch settings according to Table 3, "Core module
ID switch settings (System Utility card)," on page 33.

Reinstall the System Utility card.
a.
Gently slide the card into the slot until it makes contact with the
backplane. Never force a card into the slot.

Push in the top and bottom latches on the card to lock it in place.
