Enabling remote access

You can enable remote access for telnet, SSH (on SSH software images), SNMP, and webpage
access.

About this task
Use the following procedure to enable and configure remote access to the management features of
the switch.
Procedure
1. Enter Global Configuration mode:
enable
configure terminal
2. To enable telnet remote access, enter the following command:
telnet-access enable
3. To enable SSH remote access, enter the following command:
ssh
4. To enable SNMP remote access, enter the following command:
snmp-server enable
5. To enable webpage remote access, enter the following command:
web-server enable

Definition
Specify the next-hop IP address for the route being
added.
Specify the weight, or cost, of the route being added.
Range is 1 to 65535.
Enable the specified static route.
Disable the specified static route.
Change the weight, or cost, of an existing static
route. Range is 1 to 65535.
