6.3 Quality Adjustment
% Press [Lighter] to make the copy image lighter than the original, or press [Darker] to make it darker.
% Press [Standard] to resume the middle density level.
% Press [Pre 1] or [Pre 2] to recall the desired preset density.
% Press [AES] to automatically adjust the copy image density.
% This setting is also available from the [Density Setting] area of the Quality Adjustment Screen. Press
[Quality Adj.] on the Copy Screen to display the Quality Adjustment Screen.

Adjust the density level of background when copying dark paper originals such as newspaper or recycled
paper.

Position the original.

Press [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen.

Press [Quality Adj.]
The Quality Adjustment Screen will be displayed.

Select the desired density level using the setting keys provided under [Background Removal].
