12 digit Numerical Code (12NC)
Used to as the unique identifier of an item or product. The first ten digits identify an
item. The eleventh digit specifies the particular variant of the item. The twelfth digit
indicates the revision issue. Items for which the first eleven digitsare the same are
functionally equal and may be exchanged.
