Check if the slot and port number of the NES alarm source corresponds with the

physical position on the DDF to which the analyzer is connected.

Disconnect the incoming signal from the port under test.

Repeat this test for all present option card tributary ports.

Cleaning up
The following tasks must be performed to clean up the system:
• Reset the Alarm Reporting/Severity of the applicable NES alarm to default (Not
Reported).
• If an E3 or DS3 option board is installed and the TUG structure of CC1,1 has been
modified then return it to VC-12.
• Delete all cross-connections.
