An alternate action switch places the controller in the Automatic or
Manual mode of operation. Switching between manual and automatic will
be bumpless, except when PD+MR algorithm is selected.
Table 5-9 includes procedures for selecting automatic or manual mode
and changing the output while in manual.

The controller regulates its output to

maintain the PV at the desired setpoint.

The deviation bargraph indicates the PV
deviation from the setpoint.
The annunciators indicate whichever setpoint
is in use:
SP
Local Setpoint
2SP
Second Local Setpoint
3SP
Third Local Setpoint
RSP
Remote Setpoint
CSP
Computer Setpoint
until "MAN" indicator is ON.
MANUAL
The controller holds its output at the last
AUTO
value used during automatic operation and
stops adjusting the output for changes in
setpoint or process variable.

The deviation bargraph indicates the PV
deviation from the setpoint.
