Prepare the following equipment and wear appropriate personal protective
equipment.
• Personal protective equipment
• Soft brush
• Clean, lint-free cloths
• Sterile, lint-free cloths
• Large basins
• Detergent solution
• Disinfectant solution
• Clean water (nonsterile water)
• Sterile water (for sterile water rinse)
• Small container
• 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol

• 30 cm (30 ml) syringe
• Channel cleaning brush or
single-use channel cleaning brush
• Single use combination cleaning brush
• Single use single-ended cleaning brush
 Reusable parts that are normally reprocessed with the
endoscope
• Suction cleaning adapter
• Water resistant caps
 Reusable parts that are normally reprocessed separately
from the endoscope
• Mouthpiece
• Channel cleaning brush
• Channel cleaning brush
• Channel-opening cleaning brush
• Suction valve
• Biopsy valve (optional item)
• Balloon applicator
