6.1 Motor reactors
Risk of burns resulting from high surface temperature of the motor reactor
The motor reactors can become very hot. You can be severely burnt when touching the
surface.
• Mount the motor reactors so that they cannot be touched. If this is not possible, at the

If components are used that have not been approved, damage or malfunctions can occur in
the devices or the system itself. There is a risk that the motor reactor will be thermally
damaged.
• Use only motor reactors that have been approved for SINAMICS by Siemens.

Damage to the motor reactor if the maximum output frequency is exceeded
The maximum permissible output frequency when motor reactors are used is 150 Hz. At a
higher output frequency, the motor reactor may be damaged.
• Do not operate the motor reactors above the maximum permissible output frequency of

The maximum permissible pulse frequency when using motor reactors is 4 kHz. At a higher
pulse frequency, the motor reactor may be damaged.
