CHECKLIST A PROCEDURES
2 Loosen the drain plug located at the bottom of
the filter. Allow the water to drain into a suitable
container until fuel starts to come out.
Immediately tighten the drain plug.

3 Clean up any fuel that may have spilled.
4 Start the engine from the ground controls and
check the fuel filter/water separator for leaks.
Explosion and fire hazard. If a fuel
leak is discovered, keep any
additional personnel from entering
the area and do not operate the
machine. Repair the leak
immediately.

Check for Fuel Leaks

Failure to detect and correct fuel leaks will result in
an unsafe condition. An explosion or fuel fire may
cause death or serious injury.

1 Open the shutoff valve on the liquid petroleum

gas (LPG) tank by turning it counterclockwise
(if equipped).
2 Perform a visual inspection around the following
areas.
Ford Models:
· LPG tank, hoses and fittings, solenoid shutoff
valve, LPG regulator and throttle body.
· Fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel rail and
fuel injectors, hoses and fittings and throttle
body.
Deutz and Perkins Models:
· Fuel tank, hoses and fittings, fuel pump,
fuel filter, fuel injection pumps and
fuel injectors.

Explosion and fire hazard. Engine
fuels are combustible. Inspect the
machine in an open, well-ventilated
area away from heaters, sparks,
flames and lighted tobacco.
Always have an approved fire
extinguisher within easy reach.
An LPG detector may be
necessary to locate LPG leaks.
Explosion and fire hazard. If a fuel
leak is discovered, keep any

the area and do not operate the
machine. Repair the leak
immediately.
