This appendix explains how to create an initial Internet Protocol (IP) interface
using the Quick-Start procedure to get the Passport 5430 router up and running on
the network.
Note: You can also configure additional interfaces using Quick-Start, but in
most cases your initial IP interface connects you to the management
workstation, where you use Site Manager or another management tool to fully
customize your router's configuration.
To start the Passport 5430 on the network using Quick-Start, you run the
inst_pp5430.bat script and enter information at the prompts. The Passport 5430
automatically selects options for some prompts, and you can accept default values
for many of the other prompts.
