Turning the Passport 5430 On and Off

To turn on the Passport 5430:

If you cannot feel air flow from the Passport 5430 vents, or if the power output
LED remains off, do the following:

Press the power switch on the power supply to the on (1) position
(Figure
6-5).
If a redundant power supply is installed, turn it on.

Verify that the power output LED for each power supply lights green.
The LED on the power supply is labeled DC OK. If the LED is not on, replace
the power supply (see "Replacing a Power Supply" on page 11-3).
Verify that air is flowing from the cooling fans out through the side and
rear of the Passport 5430.
Turn the power switch on each of the power supplies to the off (0)
position.
Verify that the power cable is inserted correctly into the power outlet.
See "Connecting to the AC Power Source" on page 4-16 for information.
