Installing a Slot Cover
This section describes how to install a slot cover in the Cisco ASR 14000 series 8-slot line card chassis.
The chassis is shipped with slot covers over the switch fabric card and RP card slots; we advise installing
slot covers over any empty slots in the chassis. Both slot cover types are installed in the same manner.
