Analysis Parameters

4.10 DTMF/MF ANALYZE 3

This is the third of three menus used for Tone dialing analysis. These menus apply to DTMF,
and MF(R1). This menu contains parameters used to set Tone ON and OFF time thresholds
and Guard Time.

4.10.1 TONE ON/OFFms(min): When Tone Dialing is received, the ON time (time the digit is
present) and OFF time (quiet time between digits) must be greater than the setting of
these values. If either the ON time or the OFF time exceed these settings, the Event is
flagged as an error.
4.10.2 GUARDms: When a Tone is present, this parameter controls whether or not the AM8a
will analyze it. This GUARD (Tone ON time) time MUST be exceeded before the
AM8a will analyze it. If the Event is shorter, it will be ignored.

4.11 THRESHOLD ANALYZE

This menu controls the Tone Level and the Off Hook threshold that the AM8a will recognize.

4.11.1 TONEdBm(min): When a Tone is present, this parameter determines the LEVEL which
must be exceeded before the AM8a will analyze it. If a Tones Level is below this
setting, the AM8a will ignore it.
