INDeX 20CC User's Guide
Your phone system may connect to another phone system by a fixed line (tie
line). If this is the case, you may need to use a 'recall' (your System Manager
will advise). To do this a RECALL option appears.
Your turret can be locked by a system maintainer. This stops people using it to
make external calls (they hear continuous tone instead). You can still make
internal calls when the turret is locked. Locked turrets can still make external
calls but only to some special numbers, eg. emergency calls.
Forward allows you to remotely set your calls to divert. By default, the system
bars remote forwarding of an extension. Contact your System Manager to
enable this feature.
To set a forward:
1. Press PROGRAM and then
2. The display shows FORWARD FROM ?. Enter the turret from which you
want to forward calls and press DONE.
3. Enter that turret's passcode (see page 33).
4. The display shows FORWARD TO ? and the turret's current Divert All
number (if set).
5. To change the forward, press CANCEL and enter the new number for
diverting all calls.
6. Press DONE and then press PROGRAM to finish.
Occasionally you may need to talk to someone for support about your turret or
phone system. It may be useful to tell that person what software your phone
system uses.
To display the software release:
1. During a call, press PROGRAM, the turret displays the software installed
on your system (To do this without making a call, just press ANSWER
RELEASE first).
2. Press SCROLL to return to the normal display.
FORWARD.
