Setting a Ringer Step
Setting the Ringer Timeout
INDeX 20CC User's Guide
If a call rings unanswered, the turret can increase the volume on each ring
until it reaches its maximum. You can select several sizes of increase step.
This feature is call Persuasive Ringing.
To set the ringer volume step size:
1. Press PROGRAM and then RINGER.
2. Enter the turret's passcode (see page 33).
3. Press STEPS. The display shows the current setting; LARGE STEP,
SMALL STEP or NO STEP (no increase).
4. To select another step size, press CHANGE.
5. Press PROGRAM to finish.
The ringer timeout controls several actions:
Callback:
How long a callback rings you before cancelling.
Group hunting:
How long calls to a group of which your turret is a member, ring your
turret before trying the next member.
To set the ringer timeout:
1. Press PROGRAM and then RINGER.
2. Enter the turret's passcode (see page 33).
3. Press TIMEOUT. The display shows the current setting.
4. Press CANCEL and enter the new timeout in seconds. The normal
value of 10 seconds is equal to 3 rings.
5. Press PROGRAM to finish.
