4.2.5 Disc tray jam (Error code 31, 38, 3C, 84, 8A, 8B, 8C, 90)

User Check
- Remove foreign materials from the surroundings of the jam clear cover.
- Check that the jam clear cover is properly closed.
Step

broken
2 Foreign materials in the recording
paper path or around the
maintenance unit
3 Chute cover not mounted
correctly
4 Registration actuator caught on
the surrounding parts
5 CR encoder strip stained
6 Engine unit defective
7 Main PCB defective
Cause
Replace the disc tray.
Remove foreign materials.
Reposition the chute cover.
Check and reposition the registration actuator.
Replace the CR encoder strip.
Replace the engine unit.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
