(7) To adjust the left margin in 600 dpi, enter the measured left margin value (in units of 0.1
mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the left margin measured in step (2) is 2.8 mm, so press the 2, 8, and OK
keys in this order.
The "RIGHT1 :30" appears on the LCD.
(8) To adjust the right margin in 600 dpi, enter the measured right margin value (in units of 0.1
mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the right margin measured in step (2) is 3.1 mm, so press the 3, 1, and OK
keys.
The "LEFT2 :30" appears on the LCD.
(9) To adjust the left margin in 1200 dpi, enter the measured left margin value (in units of 0.1
mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the left margin measured in step (2) is 2.9 mm, so press the 2, 9, and OK
keys in this order.
The "RIGHT2 :30" appears on the LCD.
(10) To adjust the right margin in 1200 dpi, enter the measured right margin value (in units of
0.1 mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the right margin measured in step (2) is 3.2 mm, so press the 3, 2, and OK
keys.
The "LEFT3 :30" appears on the LCD.
Note: Models not supporting disc printing return to the initial stage of the maintenance
mode. Go to step (13).
(11) Disc printing models To adjust the left margin in 1200 dpi for disc printing, enter the
measured left margin value (in units of 0.1 mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the left margin measured in step (2) is 3.0 mm, so press the 3, 0, and OK
keys in this order.
The "RIGHT3 :30" appears on the LCD.
(12) Disc printing models To adjust the right margin in 1200 dpi for disc printing, enter the
measured right margin value (in units of 0.1 mm) multiplied by 10.
In this example, the right margin measured in step (2) is 3.3 mm, so press the 3, 3, and OK
keys in this order.
The machine returns to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
(13) Print out the "MEDIA CHECK" pattern (see
instructed in step (1).
(14) Measure the top, left and right margins on the printed pattern.
If all the top, left and right margins are within the range from 2.9 to 3.1 mm, the adjustment
is completed.
Bottom margin adjustment
(1) Measure the bottom margin on the "MEDIA CHECK" pattern printed in step (1) of the top/
left/right margin adjustment procedure.
(Example) Bottom margin: 3.2 mm
If it is within the range from 2.9 to 3.1 mm, no adjustment is required. If not, go to step (2).
