AIR BLEEDING (HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM)/

DRIVE CHAIN
d. Tighten the bleed screws when the brake lever
limit has been reached, then release the lever.
Repeat steps (a) to (d) until all of the air bubbles
have disappeared from the fluid.
Tighten the bleed screws.
Bleed screw 2:
6 Nm (0.6 m · kg, 4.3 ft · lb)
NOTE:
If bleeding is difficult, it may be necessary to let the
brake fluid settle for a few hours.
Repeat the bleeding procedure when the tiny bubbles
in the system have disappeared.
Add brake fluid to the proper level.
Refer to "BRAKE FLUID LEVEL INSPECTION".
WARNING
After bleeding the brake system, check the brake
operation.
DRIVE CHAIN
Oil level inspection
WARNING
The engine and muffler will be very hot after the
engine has run. Avoid touching a hot engine and
muffler while they are still hot with any part of
your body or clothing during inspection or repair.
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
2. Check:
Oil level
Checking steps:
Remove the dipstick 1 and wipe it off with a
clean rag.
Reinsert the dipstick.
