groove or
crankshaft.
AL TERNATORISTARTER CLUTCH
Apply engine oil to the starter clutch rolling surface of
the driven gear 11].
Instal1 the starter driven gear (1] to the flywheel/starter
clutch while tuming it counterclockwise. [1]
Make sure that the starter driven gear turns
counterclockwise smoothly and does not tum
clockwise.
Inslallthe flywheel/starter clutch (page 11-9).
INSTALLATION
Install the woodruff key
(1J
in the crankshaft key groove. "",....".,,-"" ...
Apply engine oil to the needle bearing (2] and install it to
the crankshaft.
Wipe any oil off the mating surface of the crankshaft
and flywheel.
Install the flywheel/starter clutch [1) to the crankshaft.
aligning the key way with the woodruff key.
