TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS
LIVING AREA WATER SYSTEM 24J- 3
Problem Possible Cause Correction
No water.
1 . Water pump switch not 1 . Turn on switch .
on .
2. No water in tank . 2. Fill tank .
3. Drain cocks open . 3. Close all drain locks.
4. Pump belt broken . 4. Replace belt. Refer to "Water
Pump Belt Replacement" later in
this section. Tension as shown in
"On-Vehicle Adjustment-Water
Pump Belt", later in this
section.
5. Insufficient or no 5 . Check fuse panel, replace fuse
voltage at pump . (See if required . Check for shorts .

1 . Turn on switch .

necessary.
4. Incorrect wiring . 4. Check wire connections and
correct as necessary.
5. Heater element burned 5. Replace element. Refer to
out. "Water Heater-Removal" later
in this section.
" 6. Thermostat burned out. 6. Replace thermostat . Refer to
"Water Heater-Removal" later
in this section .
7. Water pre-heat hose 7. Check pre-heat hose routings,
(if equipped) pinched. correct as required .
Leaking water system . 1 . Loose or incorrect 1 . Locate leak, determine cause and
fittings. correct.
