Specifying the Frequencies You Do Not Want to Scan

Start VFO scanning.
Start VFO scanning referring to "VFO Scan" on page 71.

When scanning stops at a frequency you do not want to
receive, touch [F MW] for over one second.
The number of the next unused skip search memory
channel will blink.
Tip
A different skip search memory channel may be specified by
rotating the DIAL.

Touch [M.WRITE].
After completing registration to the skip memory channel,
scanning resumes.
Tips
• Follow the procedure below to register the frequencies you do not want to scan to the "skip
search memory channels" in advance.
1 In VFO mode, tune in to the frequency you do not want to scan.
2 Touch [F MW] for over one second.
3 Rotate the DIAL to select the desired skip search memory channel (901 to 999).
4 Touch [M WRITE].

Deleting the Frequency Registered to the Skip Search Memory Channel

Frequencies can be removed from the skip search memory channels by following the
procedure below. Once the frequencies are removed from the skip search memory
channels, they can then be scanned.

Press the
key to enter Memory mode.

Touch [F MW] for over one second.

Rotate the DIAL to select the skip search memory channel (901 to 999) that is to be
cleared.
