Piston
1) Scribe the cylinder number on the head of the
respective pistons.

2) Place a clean rag over the cylinder to prevent any
parts from falling into the crankcase.
3) Remove the piston pin circlip (1).
4) Draw out each piston pin and remove the pistons.
5) Remove the cylinder gasket and dowel pins.
Oil Jet (For the Cylinder Head)
Remove the oil jets (1) and (2).

Cylinder Stud Bolt
NOTE
Do not remove the cylinder stud bolts unless
absolutely necessary.

Engine Top Side Assembly
Assemble the engine top side in the reverse order of
disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:
Cylinder Stud Bolt
• Install each cylinder stud bolt as shown.
NOTE
Before installing the cylinder stud bolt (4),
apply a light coat of the recommended bond
to its threads.
: Sealant 99000–31140 (SUZUKI Bond
1207B or equivalent)
Tightening torque
Cylinder stud bolt: 15 N·m (1.5 kgf-m, 11.0 lb-ft)
