Software Access Point Troubleshooting

The Wired LAN Selection
Utility displays the
message Initialization
failed.
When the Access Point
Configuration Utility starts,
the message Loading of
the library required for
communication with
access point failed is
displayed.
When the Access Point
Configuration Utility starts,
the message The access
point is disabled. The
changes are applied when
the access point is
enabled next is displayed.
Check whether the wireless LAN card is correctly
inserted.
Check whether the driver is normally operating on the
server (access point).
Check whether the station is operating in infrastructure
mode.
Check whether both station and access point have the
same network name (ESSID).
When WEP is enabled, check whether both station and
access point have the same WEP key.
Check whether the station is within the area of
communication with the access point.
Check whether the access point is set up to connect to
the wired LAN network.
Check whether the wired LAN driver is normally
operating on the server (access point).
Check whether the wired LAN cable is correctly inserted
in the server (access point).
When filtering by the MAC address is enabled, check
whether the address is correctly set up.
Reexecute the initialization. If the error persists, reinstall
the Software Access Point.
The utility may be incorrectly installed. Reinstall the
utility.
Check whether the driver is normally operating on the
server (access point).
