Hardware Diagnostics
Check that all LEDs on the hard disk drives are off.
g Press Enter.
12. BMC Test
Tests BMC functions and the LED display functions.
1 Use the arrow keys to highlight 12. BMC Test on the Diagnostic Test menu.
2 Press Enter.
3 Using the arrow keys, select one of the following BMC tests.
01. Sensor test
Performs the sensor test for each controller. The test results are displayed.
02. Front Panel test
Verifies the functions of the LEDs as follows:
- Check that the Fault LED is ORANGE. OK (Y)/FAILED (N)
- Check that the ASD LED is ORANGE. OK (Y)/FAILED (N)
- Check that the ASD LED is GREEN. OK (Y)/FAILED (N)
- Check that the Front Panel Display is All ON. OK (Y)/FAILED (N)
- Check that the Front Panel Display is All OFF. OK (Y)/FAILED (N)
13. IDE HDD Test
Tests the IDE HDD devices.
1 Use the arrow keys to highlight 13. IDE HDD Test on the Diagnostic Test menu.
2 Press Enter.
3 Using the arrow keys, select one of the following BMC tests.
01. Sequential address read
Performs a sequential reading of all of the blocks on the HDD, starting at 0.
02. Connection
Reads the logical sector at the end of the HDD, and then recognizes whether the
drive is connected or not.
