5.4 Connecting to a ThinWire Network

5.4.1 To Connect the ThickWire-to-ThinWire Adapter

1. If necessary, unlock the sliding lock on the cable connector. (See
Section 5.2.1.)
2. Hold the ThickWire cable so the widest part of its connector aligns with the
widest part of the ThickWire connector on the adapter.
3. Push the cable connector and the adapter connector together.
4. Push the sliding lock on the cable connector toward the connectors until it
locks them in place.

5.4.2 To Connect the Workstation to the ThinWire Network

Your workstation may be either within a ThinWire cable segment or at the end
of a segment. You connect your workstation differently depending on where it
is.
If your workstation is to be connected at the end of a ThinWire segment,
attach a terminator to one end of the T-connector on the adapter.
If your workstation is to be connected within a ThinWire segment, leave
both ends of the T-connector free for attaching your in-house network
cables
