13.3 Interpreting Video Error Messages
When the powerup self-test diagnostics encounter a failure, a formatted error
message is displayed such as shown in Figure 13–1 below. In this particular
example, a problem was detected with the SCSI control portion of the base
module.
The key pieces of information which led us to this conclusion are that the
failure was detected on TURBOchannel slot 3, the base module. The problem
was with the SCSI subsystem, and was specifically the controller. Finally, the
diagnostic identified the module as the KN02-CA.
