Environment variables set system operating conditions. You can display, set,
and remove environment variables with console commands.

Use the setenv command to set or change environment variables.
•
Use the printenv command to display existing environment variables.
•
Use the unsetenv command to remove environment variables.
Table G–2, earlier in this appendix, lists the environment variables you can
set.
The unsetenv command removes a standard environment variable (except
osconsole and #) during the current session only. When the system is reset,
reinitialized, or powered up, the values of the standard environment variables
revert to their previously set values.
The unsetenv command format is
unsetenv variable
When you type the unsetenv command, replace variable with the name of the
environment variable you want to remove.
