BASIC OPERATION

Selecting a channel

Choose the appropriate channel group for your operating
area, and then select the desired channel.

Push [CH/WX] to exit the WX group if necessary.

Hold down [U/I/C] (CH/WX) for 1 second to change the

channel group. Repeat to advance to the next group.
• The selectable channel groups differ, depending on the
transceiver version.
For USA, EXP and CHN versions
Hold down
International channels

for 1 second
Canadian channels
For UK and AUS versions
Hold down
for 1 second
International channels
For HOL version
Hold down
for 1 second
International channels
❑ Selecting a regular channel
➥ Push [Y] or [Z] to select a channel.
• "DUP" appears for duplex channels.
• "A" appears for simplex channels.
Duplex channel is selected.
NOTE: You cannot transmit on Channel 70.
U.S.A. channels
ATIS channels
Simplex channel is selected.
