Remove any media that remains inside the

nozzle check.
Check the printed check pattern, and if there are
any clogs, perform head cleaning.

If the printer is left off for an extended
period, the print head will be left uncapped
and dry out, and will not print properly
when printing resumes.

Take up media with the printed side facing in.
Is narrow media being taken up?

We recommend using media with a width of 36 inches
or greater.
Is thick media being taken up?

When thick printed media is being taken up, we

RIP to 3 passes or higher.

The after heater turns off
automatically

The after heater will turn off if no print job is received
for some time and no error occurs. The time before the
after heater turns off automatically can be selected
using the Heat Off Timer option in the setup menu.

The after heater will be reactivated when a print job is
received, the media loading lever is used, or another
operation involving printer hardware is performed.
Is the printer in sleep mode?
SC-F7100 Series
The printer enters sleep mode when the Heat Off
Timer expires and the heaters turn off. The time
before the after heater turns off can be selected using
the Printer Setup menu.

The after heater will be reactivated and sleep mode
will end when a print job is received, the media
loading lever is used, or another operation involving
printer hardware is performed.
SC-F7000 Series
Press the P button on the control panel to return to
the normal state. The time before the printer enters
sleep mode can be selected in the Printer Setup menu.

This is not a failure.
The red light is a light inside the printer.
Reset the password.
At the Network Setup menu of the control panel, run
Restore Settings, and then set a new password.
