Deleting Groups From A Scan List
1. With scan operation turned off, select the desired group to delete from
the selected trunked system's group scan list.

to delete the group from the scan list. "S", "2" or "1" turns

off. Any group that is not in a trunked system group scan list will show a
"blank" for the time period when it is the selected channel.
Nuisance Delete
A group can also be deleted from the scan list, if it is not the currently se-
lected group, by pressing
playing the unwanted group. The group will be deleted from the system's
group scan list in the same manner as if done using the steps above. Dele-
tions done in this manner will not remain deleted if the radio is turned off
and then back on.
Turning Scan On
1. Toggle scan operation by pressing
on when the radio is scanning.
Scanning will stop while microphone is off-hook if hookswitch fea-
ture is enabled through programming.
2. When a group on the scan list receives a channel assignment, the radio
unmutes on the assigned channel, BSY indicator comes on and the re-
ceived scan group is displayed.
• The radio will continue scanning if a new group is selected when scan
is on.
• Pressing the PTT button when scan is on will cause the radio to
transmit on the displayed group or to the currently selected group
depending on programming.
