Batteries

To maximize battery life, limit your use of the backlight and lower
the Auto-off setting. When the batteries become low, an alert will
pop up on your screen.
When you need to replace your batteries, perform the following
steps:
Perform a Backup or HotSync operation to save your data.
1.
Remove the original batteries.
2.
Install the new batteries. Refer to Figure 1-3. The built-in backup

power of your handheld maintains the memory data for up to one
minute after the batteries have been removed. After that,
memory data can be corrupted. If you have any difficulties
installing the new batteries, reinstall the old batteries and allow
the unit to recharge the built-in backup circuitry for a few
minutes. Then reinstall the new batteries.
Properly dispose of the original batteries.

If your unit doesn't turn on ...

If you press the Power button on your handheld, and the unit does
not turn on, press the Reset button. If your unit still does not respond,
you need to replace the batteries. It is possible that your original
batteries had enough residual energy to preserve the memory data. If,
however, your data has been corrupted, you need to perform a restore
operation using Backup or HotSync.
