Use the Palm Desktop File Export feature

Set up a Custom HotSync to have the Desktop overwrite the

These steps are described in detail in the sections that follow.

Palm Desktop File Export

There may be several instances where performing a Palm Desktop
File Export operation may prove useful. You can export the saved
data not only to the PC's hard drive, but also to removable media,
such as a floppy or CD. The removable media can be used with
another PC or saved as an emergency backup. In addition, you can
export the saved data to transfer the shared information, such as
memos, addresses, or appointments, between multiple users.
Perform the following steps:
Open the Palm Desktop Software to the user name that has the

information you wish to export.
Click the Address conduit button.

Click the View menu and make sure Show Private Records is

selected.
Click the Edit menu and then click Select All. This should

highlight the records.
Click the File menu and select Export.
5.
Once the Export dialog opens, type in a name for the file.
6.
Certain versions of the Palm Desktop may present an asterisked
file name (*.aba) in the File name box. You will need to replace
this asterisk with a unique name and keep the dot extension (i.e.,
myaddDec01.aba).
