Chapter 2: Basics

Adjusting the Screen

If lighting conditions make it difficult to view the information on
your HandEra handheld computer, use the Backlight and Contrast
control to adjust your screen.

Using the Backlight

♦ To turn the Backlight on, press the power button for about two
seconds. Release the button when the Backlight turns on.
♦ To turn the Backlight off, press the power button for about two
seconds.
Note:
period of inactivity defined by the Auto-off setting. Refer
to Setting Preferences on in Appendix A.

Adjusting the Contrast

You can adjust the contrast in two ways:
♦ Using the Adjust Contrast slider.
♦ Using the Jog Wheel and Scroll Buttons.
