Removing And Installing Fuel Tank - BMW R 1100 S Repair Manual

Removing and installing fuel tank

•
Remove seat.
•
Remove side trim.
•
Remove the intake air pipe.
•
Disconnect the plug from the fuel pump.
•
Disconnect the breather and overflow hose at
the connector.
•
Seal the fuel feed and return lines with hose
clips, BMW No. 13 3 010, and disconnect.
•
Remove screws securing fuel tank.
•
Lift tank at rear.
•
Pull fuel tank to the rear and remove.
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.
X
Tightening torque:
Fuel tank to frame ....................................... 10 Nm
