When the door is open, the window can
only rise to the "preset position", to prevent
the window from hitting the upper weath-
er strip when it is closed.
Improper use of the power windows
can be dangerous. Before use, always
WARNING WARNING
check that people and objects are at a
safe distance.
Pay particular attention during the
automatic operation of the driver-
side power window.
To protect the passengers remaining
in the car against accidental
operation of the power windows,
always remove the key from the
ignition.

Lighting

The exterior lights and the direction
indicators only work when the ignition
key is in position II.
The external lights can be switched on
and off manually or automatically, de-
pending on the ambient light.

Lights off

Position and number plate lights

Low beams on (*)
Parking lights
AUT Automatic operation of the external
lights according to the ambient
light.
(*) The relative warning light on the
instrument panel comes on (see page 77);

High beams

To turn on the high beams, when
switch is in position , push the left-
