To restore active console devices, complete the following steps:
1. From the EFI Boot Manager, select Boot option maintenance menu, and
2. Select Active Console Output, Console Input, and Standard Error Devices.
3. Select the active devices that you want; then, select Save Settings to NVRAM,
4. Cold reset or connect -c from the EFI shell for changes to take effect.

Top cover assembly

This section contains instructions for removing and replacing the top cover
assembly over the power supplies.
Before you begin:
v Read "Installation guidelines" on page 77.
v Read the safety notices at "Safety notices (multilingual translations)" on page
v Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 218.
Complete the following steps to remove the top cover assembly.
1. Turn off the server (see "Turning off the server" on page 9), and disconnect all
2. Remove the front bezel (see "Removing and replacing the bezel" on page 85).
3. Open the top covers.
4. Remove the power supplies.
5. Remove fans 1 and 2.
6. Pull the two retaining pins on the top front of the chassis until they loosen.
7. Slide the top cover to the front slightly.
8. LIft the cover up, and unplug the cables from the top power board.
9. Pull the cover up, and remove it from the server.
